Industrial dance
Industrial dance is an US American alternative term for EBM and electro-industrial music. The term was used since the mid-1980s[1] to describe the music of Cabaret Voltaire,[2] early Die Krupps,[3] Portion Control,[4] The Neon Judgement,[3] Clock DVA,[5] Nitzer Ebb,[6][7] Skinny Puppy[8] Front Line Assembly,[9][10][11] Front 242,[3][7][12] Ministry (Mid-80s era),[13] KMFDM,[14][15][16] Yeht Mae,[5] Manufacture,[17] Leæther Strip[18] or early Spahn Ranch.[19]
In March 1989, SPIN magazine presented a two-paged article about the Industrial Dance movement in Canada and the US.[17]
